Planning your green retreat? Want to avoiding stress and offsett your carbon footprint for 2012? You should probably forget about Easyjet, avoid London and ditch the Landrover.
You’d be better off sauntering down to Cornwall and check out this little gem:
Little white Alice’s wild retreat.
It’s situated in the heart of the Cornish countryside and is a gallery of Cornish crafts. The owners are interested in reviving traditional craft and evidence of this is throughout their cottages. They run craft workshops for their guests and local community on weaving, felting, mosaic making and basket weaving, not surprisingly they are winning awards.
Here is one of their hand woven headboards,
Their dog even walks their horse.. what more could you want from a Cornish retreat
Probably their most stunning feature is the natural swimming pool, surrounded by rolling green fields, so don’t forget your Organic Bikini. (If they exist yet!)
They are planning to provide all of their water and electricity for their guest houses with solar panels and wind turbines, if that isn’t enough to offset your footprint, plant a tree in their new woodland.
Maybe a good place to escape from the olympic madness this summer, I think so!
